Mrs. Mary Thomas

Our beloved grade school principal from St. Henry's Area School, who only recently retired has passed away. Mary was a wonderful person who knew everyone and knew your name even if you were a student 20 years ago! Definitely the passing of dear friend and someone who everyone loved. We will surely miss her.

Her funeral is on Thursday, July 3rd at 11:00am at St. Henry's Catholic Church...

Please say a prayer for her family and all those who will miss her dearly.

Here's a sneak peak at some pics from Christina & Joe's recent session... We were lucky to have the perfect yard to meander through and tons of beautiful flowers to see. A gazebo, archways, flower beds galore... A photographer's (AND GARDENER'S) dream yard... Makes me yearn for all of our unfinished landscaping! :)

I met up with Amber, Dave and the crew at the park for some family photos. Amber and Dave are getting married in August and we needed some pics in the green green grass of early summer...

Little Slugger Isaac

Another sneak peak, this time at a BIG Minnesota Twins Fan, Isaac. He and his mom Lisa stopped over for a quick session, as they were the ones that won the Baby Bits Portrait from the St. Henry's School Fun Fair Silent Auction. A little champ indeed, this babe had more uniforms than the major league's!! Here is an example of what a finished collage might look like! Fantabulous!

We got them married off.... Here is a sneak peak at one of the images from their day... Thank goodness for golf courses, they always have reliable landscaping and green grass! What a beautiful day!!

RMH Motorcycle Ride, New York Mills, MN

I can't forget to put a mention in for the Ronald McDonald House Motorcycle Ride this weekend starting in New York Mills... I got the opportunity to photograph there a couple years ago and let's just say... You have to see it to believe it... Bikes. EVERYWHERE. People from all walks of life. Some hard core bikers, others... weekend riders. All gathering for the same cause. It's really an awesome sight to see (and hear, because I like the thunder...) LOL!

studio 60 & Head Quarters on Main went together and donated a framed and matted print to auction off at the pre-ride party last year... We were happy! It auctioned for more than $400! All proceeds going towards Ronald McDonald House! (it's the motorcycle pic on the right, here)

So get your leather on and make sure to get to Mills this weekend! Don't forget about all the EVENING FESTIVITIES ALSO! Some great bands, plenty to eat and drink and camping in the cool spring air.........

Wedding Season is Upon Us!!!

Aaaaaahhhhhhhh.... Spring is in the air (finally)... The days are getting warmer... (finally) And let the weddings begin!!

Checked out the local greenhouse the other day (Blossoms, Birds & Beyond) for some much needed mulch and a tree... Work, yep, can't avoid it!! We encountered some of the most delicious arrangements that have been marked for weddings... Let me tell you! I'm sad I got married in January! We had beautiful flowers too, but they were all slightly faux! What do you do? I am a HUGE fan of plants and besides photography, which gives me a rush and lets my creative juices flow, my other passion is gardening... I love the tranquility of it. Being as how I am a summer baby at heart, knowing my perennials will come up in the spring is one of the few things that get me through the winter... I just can't wait for these sunny days of summer that are so precious around this area! They come and go way too quickly.

CANVAS in your home...

Almost forgot to mention... I ordered a couple more canvases for the office walls for display purposes... Which I LOVE because then I can be imaginative to the things that make me love photography even more! I had a vertical 5" x 30" collage of images from a Class of 2008 graduate... Talk about something cool to have! And I also designed a 20" x 30" 'Chocolate & White' image of a Baby Portrait Plan first timer and new mother... Oh wow. It's so pretty. I couldn't imagine anyone not wanting to have that hanging in the baby's room. So please! She's ONE Year Old Already!

Kadence is 1! Well, actually she's 1 + 1 month, but that's close enough. Sometimes for the sake of the one year portraits at the end of the Baby Portrait Plan, it's best to wait until baby is walking with no help and can get around independently!
