TIPS & TRICKS: BUDGET!

Yes ~ It's a scary word and sometimes it doesn't get a second thought, but knowing where to draw the line is CRUCIAL if you're going to have any wedded bliss at all.

Know up front what you are able to spend based on how many guests you are planning on inviting. Having a sit down, 5 course meal for 30 guests in an elegant establishment MAY cost you the same as having a buffet style meal in the local dance hall for 300!! This is the hard part of the decision making. If you can't whittle your guest list to 30 because your bridal party and their significant others, not to mention your parents and grandparents would most certainly add up to more than that... Expect to have a LARGE food budget. After all - You are providing a party in YOUR honor for all of your friends and family to enjoy. This could even be about 1/2 of your budget! Plan accordingly.

Most wedding venues provide their own food, although there are exceptions which allow any caterer of choice... Be aware of everything down to who decorates the tables - to - who provides the salt & pepper - to - who cleans this up - to - "I paid for this food, now what?"
